Darrell R. Mark is Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics and Extension Livestock Marketing Specialist at UNL.  Mark joined the Department of Agricultural Economics in January 2002 after earning doctorate and master of science degrees in agricultural economics from Kansas State University in 2001 and 1998, respectively.  His extension, teaching, and research programs are in the areas of agricultural marketing, livestock economics, and farm and ranch management.  Mark provides risk management and price outlook information to livestock producers and allied industry throughout Nebraska and the United States., addressing issues such as market impacts from animal health-related international trade bans and teaching the use of new risk management tools like livestock insurance.  Mark teaches junior- and senior-level courses in agricultural marketing and risk management at UNL and advises a number of undergraduate and graduate students and student organizations.  Additionally, he teaches a graduate beef cattle economics course.  Mark's teaching and extension programs have earned him awards from the Western Agricultural Economics Association and UNL Parents Association.       

A native of South Dakota, Mark graduated from South Dakota State University in 1997 with a B.S. in agricultural business.  He maintains an active interest in his family's grain and livestock operation in southeast South Dakota.

Allen Prosch has been an owner/operator in production agriculture since 1970.  Currently, he is Extension Educator with programming interests in swine production and management, marketing, and farm management.  Additionally, he is the Director of Pork Central at UNL, an interdisciplinary unit providing information to Nebraska's pork producers.

Prosch earned a master of arts degree in Management from Bellevue University in 1993. A licensed real estate broker, Al has also been a commodity broker registered with the Commodity Futures Trade Commission.

A native of Fullerton, Nebraska, Becky Small is currently finishing her bachelor of science degree in agribusiness at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Additionally, Small is Extension Assistant, with programming interests in marketing, farm management, and information design and delivery.  Building on her extensive public speaking background as a Nebraska state FFA officer, Small joined the Market Journal Toolbox team as host of the program.  In it, Small introduces the topics the Toolbox experts will cover and summarizes the main points of each section for the Toolbox audience.  Small's family farm background provides her with experience in corn, soybean, cattle, and hog production and marketing, which she uses to connect the viewers of Toolbox with the educators.

During her years of study at UNL, Small has competed on UNL's Meats Evaluation Team and Agricultural Economic Academic Quiz Bowl team and served as president of the University's FFA Alumni chapter.  Small's future plans include pursing a M.S. degree in agricultural economics and remaining involved with production agriculture and communications.

Doug Jose is the host of Market Journal, a weekly television and Internet program that brings practical marketing and risk management strategies to agricultural producers.  A professor and extension farm management specialist in UNL's  department of Agricultural Economics, Doug has been with UNL since 1980. Before coming to Nebraska, he was an Associate Professor in the Agricultural Economics Department at the University of Saskatchewan.

Jose's areas of interest include farm business management decision processes; risk management strategies, including crop insurance strategies, farm leasing arrangements, estate planning and business succession, financial analysis, business planning, and, dairy management strategies. He holds a bachelor of science degree in general agricultural science from McGill University, a master of science degree in agricultural economics from the University of Massachusetts, and a doctorate in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State University.

Doug has also been involved with many regional and national committees, councils, and organizations.

Brad Lubben is an Assistant Professor and Extension Public Policy Specialist in UNL's Department of Agricultural Economics. A native of a grain and livestock operation in southeast Nebraska, Brad holds bachelor of science. and master of science degrees in agricultural economics from UNL. Lubben completed his doctoral work at Kansas State University, where he worked for six years as an Extension Agricultural Economist. Prior to his time at K-State, Lubben worked in extension for the University of Illinois.

Lubben specializes in agricultural and public policy, developing and delivering publications, presentations, management tools, and analysis. His policy focus includes agricultural policy and federal commodity programs, natural resource policy and conservation programs, trade policy, and public policy education.

Lubben is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Agricultural Economics Association and the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He also currently serves as Chair of the National Public Policy Education Committee, a committee of extension professionals working in public policy across the country.

Terry Hejny is an Extension Educator, serving Cass County since May of 2005.  He previously served as an Extension Educator in Fillmore County for 7-1/2  years.  Prior to joining the UNL faculty in January of 1998, he was the Agricultural Education Instructor, FFA Advisor and Young Farmers Advisor for the Geneva Public Schools for 17-1/2 years.  Terry's programming responsibilities include marketing/risk management and cropping systems education.  In 2000, he helped to develop the Farmers & Ranchers College, an organization consisting of agricultural business representatives and university extension faculty, whose mission is to provide continuing education to farmers and ranchers in the areas of grain and livestock marketing and risk management.  Since 2003, he has been a member of the Winning the Game/Marketing Stored Grain teaching team which has provided practical grain marketing instruction and strategies to Nebraska farmers. Terry received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from UNL in 1980, a master of education degree in curriculum & instruction from Doane College in 1994 and is currently pursuing a doctorate at UNL in Leadership Studies.

Tim Lemmons is an Extension Educator with UNL serving Madison and Stanton Counties.  Tim's programming focus is in farm business management and information technology as well as programming interests in swine production.  He has a bachelor of science degree in animal science and agronomy from UNL and an MBA from the University of Colorado in operations and information systems management.  Lemmons is also involved with the management of a small cattle herd and diversified commercial farming operation.
