Conclusions refer to all five sections of the Assuring Quality program.

Using quality assurance methods will help you raise healthy animals. It also will help the entire livestock industry because consumers will be more likely to trust the safety and quality of the food supply. Also, consumers will recognize livestock producers for their role in helping assure the food supply’s quality and safety.

Using quality assurance procedures:
will help assure your animals are healthy
may result in increased production from your animals

will maintain and improve consumer confidence in the meat and livestock industries

will help maintain confidence in the value of youth livestock programs

will help consumers understand that livestock producers have the welfare of the animals in mind.

Remember these three things:
1. Quality assurance and food safety are everyone’s responsibility.
2. No matter how many or how few animals you produce, you are producing a food product for someone!
3. Do your part! You, the entire livestock industry and all
consumers will benefit.
